The White Star Station in Colville is a wonderful place to enjoy horse riding. This large farm in Colville Valley is a good place to take the family for a rural experience. This is a well organized activity
run by the Evans family.

Driving Creek Railway

Three kms north of Coromandel Town is the famous Driving Creek railway. Here you can enjoy a one hour ride on the mountain narrow- gauge railway. With spectacular views, wet or fine this activity is suitable for people of all ages. Train bookings are advisable.

There is also a craft shop, wild life sanctuary and a new gallery which exhibits the significant collection of NZ art collected by Barry Brickell over many years.

Buses, Cruises and Tours from Coromandel Town.

The coastal walkway at the top of the peninsula is a fantastic way to spend a day. Accessed either from Fletchers Bay (west side of peninsula) or Stoney Bay, east side) you will enjoy the most northern part of the peninsula with all its remoteness and beauty. The powerful landscapes are a photographers dream.
